Chicago nail salon Flamant adding location in Wilmette’s Edens Plaza
Edens Plaza will see a polished addition in new year.
Chicago-based Flamant Nail Boutique has secured Suite 163 — between Gordon Salon and Massage Envy — in the Wilmette shopping center, according to a spokesperson for WS Development, the plaza’s owner.
A native of Russia, Alla Lee opened Flamant in 2021 on Halsted Street in Lincoln Park. Lee reportedly moved to the North Shore recently, prompting her business to seek space in Edens Plaza.
“I look at this new opening as a personal and professional investment,” Lee said in the press release. “The location is perfect and I am eager to bring a new concept and expectation for nail services to the North Shore; no other salon in the area offers services quite like Flamant. I look forward to offering the North Shore residents a unique alternative with all of the feedback and requests to open our second location where I now call home!”
WS Development purchased Edens Plaza in late 2021. The Boston-based firm promised upgrades throughout the plaza, including a tenant — Wayfair — for the 150,000-square-foot vacant Carson’s space. Wayfair opened in May.
Renovations have been ongoing around the plaza, and Flamant is the first announced new tenant to the evolving shopping center.
According to the release, Flamant’s Edens Plaza location will feature the same services (variety of manicures, pedicures, and more) and vibe as the original Lincoln Park location, as well as new private rooms. Flamant will also offer spa manicures and pedicures, hard gel overlays, no-chip polish, and nail extensions.
“Flamant Nail Boutique is truly a local gem,” said Brittany Mundarain, general manager of Edens Plaza, in the release. “Alla and her team have grown such a devoted customer following over the years and we know the North Shore community will welcome them with open arms. We are honored to be a part of Flamant’s story as their business grows.”
