Police Reports: Stolen cars, bike, merchandise

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

Sept. 9

• Several items reportedly were taken from a home in the 2100 block of Schiller Avenue.

• Several pieces of merchandise reportedly were stolen from a business in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road.

Sept. 8

• A locked bicycle reportedly was stolen during the daytime hours from a bike rack in the 700 block of Green Bay Road.

Sept. 7

• An unlocked car reportedly was stolen overnight from the 1400 block of Maple Avenue. The vehicle reportedly was located in Chicago.

WINNETKA

Sept. 8

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of more than $8,000 by an individual purporting to be with CR Peterson Inc., a builder out of Lake Zurich.

GLENCOE

No incidents reported between Sept. 2-9 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

Sept. 9

• Tires reportedly were slashed overnight on a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Oakland Drive.

NORTHFIELD

No incidents reported between Sept. 7-13 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

KENILWORTH

No reported incidents between Sept. 4-11

SKOKIE

Sept. 8

• A car reportedly was burglarized in the 3200 block of Touhy Avenue.

Sept. 6

• A robbery reportedly occurred in the 9200 block of Kenneth Avenue.

• A car reportedly was burglarized between Sept. 5-6 in the 9100 block of Laramie Avenue.

Sept. 5

• A car reportedly was stolen from the 10000 block of Frontage Road.

• A building reportedly was burglarized in the 8800 block of Skokie Boulevard.

Sept. 4

• A building reportedly was burglarized between Aug. 29-Sept. 4 in the 3200 block of Touhy Avenue.

Sept. 3

• Two cars reportedly were burglarized between Sept. 1-3 in the 9600 block of Laramie Lane.

Sept. 2

• Police reportedly recovered a stolen car in the 7300 block of Niles Center Road.
