Wildkits catch fire from three-point line in second half to top New Trier boys late

10:17 a.m. March 6, 2021

New Trier executed its game plan on Friday, March 5, but Evanston made critical threes to leave Winnetka’s Gates Gym with a 64-57 win, ending the Trevians’ seven-game winning streak.

“If all five of their guys are shooting threes like that, they’re tough to beat,” head coach Scott Fricke said. “We needed one of those guys to miss a shot, and they didn’t.”

The Trevs face Evanston again Saturday, March 6.
