Mr. Ice Guy: Wilmette welcomes ice sculptor Nate Johnson for Winterfest

10:14 a.m. February 13, 2022

Ice carver Nate Johnson was the headliner Saturday, Feb. 12, at the inaugural Wilmette Winterfest, the first major event in the town’s year-long sesquicentennial celebration.

Johnson did live carving throughout the day at multiple spots in the village, including Linden Square and along Ridge Road. He finished on the village green outside Village Hall, where a DJ performed and premade ice sculptures were on display.
