Independence Day Celebrations in Wilmette and Glencoe

11:51 p.m. July 5, 2022

Thousands of residents and neighbors descended upon beachfront parks in Wilmette and Glencoe celebrate America’s Independence Day one day early — on Sunday, July 3.

Glencoe welcomed people to Lakefront Park for a bash with live music, kids games and a fireworks show, while Wilmette held its annual party at Gillson Park with food vendors, the Jessie White Tumblers, musical acts and a fireworks show.
