Colors Of The Season: Residents revel in honor of Holi in Wilmette

10:50 p.m. May 15, 2022

Locals gathered at Vattman Park in Wilmette Sunday, May 15, to belatedly celebrate Holi, an ancient Hindu festival that is observed by many Asian cultures and in countries across the globe. The holiday is also known as the Festival of Colour or Festival of Spring.

Hosting the event was the South Asian Families of Wilmette, a group of New Trier area families that united on Facebook less than a year ago.
