Police Reports: Retail burglaries, church broken into
The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).
WILMETTE
May 31
• An unlocked car reportedly was stolen overnight from the 200 block of Essex Place and it reportedly was later recovered in Chicago.
May 30
• A wallet reportedly was stolen from a customer of a business in the 400 block of Green Bay Road.
May 29
• Several items reportedly were stolen from a business in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.
May 27
• An individual was arrested in Chicago for allegedly stealing from a Wilmette business on Green Bay Road on Feb. 12.
WINNETKA
May 29
• Merchandise reportedly was stolen between 11:07-11:11 a.m. from Style and Smiles, 946 Green Bay Road.
GLENCOE
May 22
• An individual was arrested for allegedly possessing a stolen car near the I-94 interchange at Tower Road.
HIGHLAND PARK
May 29
• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from Indian Hill Elementary School, 2075 St. Johns Ave.
May 27
• A catalytic converter reportedly was stolen overnight from a work vehicle at BellaRu Catering, 1480 Old Deerfield Road.
May 26
• Trinity Episcopal Church, 425 Laurel Ave., reportedly was broken into via a broken door.
NORTHFIELD
May 30
• A car reportedly was tampered with in the driveway of a home in the 400 block of Edens Lane.
KENILWORTH
No reported incidents between May 21-29
SKOKIE
May 26
• A building reportedly was burglarized sometime between May 15-16 in the 8200 block of Skokie Boulevard.
May 23
• Property reportedly was stolen from a car in the 5100 block of Conrad Street.
May 21
• A car reportedly was burglarized sometime between May 20-21 in the 5000 block of Golf Road sometime.
May 20
• A building reportedly was burglarized in the 3400 block of Touhy Avenue.
