Police Reports: Business burglaries, locked-bicycle thefts

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

March 28

• A package reportedly was stolen in the 700 block of Sheridan Road.

March 27

• A business reportedly was broken into and burglarized in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue. A window reportedly was broken to gain entry.

March 25

• An individual was arrested for reportedly stealing merchandise on Nov. 13, 2025, from a store in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

March 24

• Two locked bicycles reportedly were stolen from a bike rack in the 700 block of Green Bay Road.

March 23

• Jewelry reportedly went missing from a home in the 2800 block of Old Glenview Road.

WINNETKA

No reported incidents between March 24-30 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

GLENCOE

HIGHLAND PARK

March 26

• Residents reported an attempted home burglary and car burglary in the 2800 block of Lexington Lane E. Items also reportedly were taken from an unlocked car in the home’s driveway.

• A freezer compressor reportedly was stolen from Mizrahi Grill, 300 Skokie Valley Road. Multiple compressors reportedly were stolen a week ago.

NORTHFIELD

No incidents reported between March 23-29.

KENILWORTH

March 25

• A car reportedly was stolen in the 4400 block of Madison Street.

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.

March 24

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4800 block of Oakton Street.

March 23

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.

• A car reportedly was burglarized in the 9100 block of Gross Point Road.

March 22

• A building reportedly was burglarized in the 9100 block of Gross Point Road.

March 21

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue.

March 20

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from a business in the 4800 block of Oakton Street.

• Two individuals were arrested for allegedly stealing from a business in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center.
