Police Reports: Home burglary, storage-unit burglary, car thefts

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

Nov. 15

• A home reportedly was burglarized in the 1000 block of Mohawk Road. A rear door reportedly was forced open.

Nov. 13

• Several items reportedly were stolen from a business in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

Nov. 10

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from a garage in the 300 block of 3rd Street.

WINNETKA

Nov. 14

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of more than $5,000 by an individual purporting to be from Chase Bank who requested the resident transfer funds to new accounts.

GLENCOE

Nov. 13

• A package containing an Apple laptop reportedly was stolen from a home in the 700 block of Sheridan Road.

HIGHLAND PARK

Nov. 15

• Merchandise reportedly was stolen from Ulta, 135 Skokie Valley Road.

Nov. 14

• An unlocked car reportedly was stolen from a hotel, 1505 County Line Road. The car reportedly had the keys inside.

Nov. 10

• Several items reportedly were stolen sometime between Sept. 18-Nov. 10 from a home in the 3500 block of Patten Road.

• Several items valued at $4,000 reportedly were stolen from a storage unit in the 900 block of Augusta Way.

• Several items, including cash, valued at $1,400 reportedly were stolen from a car in the 900 block of Augusta Way.

NORTHFIELD

No incidents reported between Nov. 10-16.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported between Nov. 7-14.

SKOKIE

Nov. 13

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized sometime between 10 a.m. on Nov. 11 and 5:17 a.m. on Nov. 13 in the 7800 block of Kenneth Avenue.

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized overnight in the 3800 block of Isabel Street.

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized overnight in the 7800 block of Kenneth Avenue.

• A vehicle reportedly was stolen overnight in the 5200 block of Greenwood Street.

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized overnight in the 3800 block of Keeney Street.

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized sometime overnight in the 4900 block of Jerome Street.

Nov. 12

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized sometime between 12-12:59 p.m. on Nov. 12 in the 9100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue.

Nov. 11

• A building reportedly was burglarized sometime between 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 11 in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue.

Nov. 9

• A building reportedly was burglarized sometime between 11 a.m. on Aug. 9-Nov. 9 in the 9600 block of Woods Drive.

Nov. 7

• A vehicle reportedly was stolen around 2:53 a.m. on Nov. 7 in the 8100 block of Hamlin Avenue.

• A building reportedly was burglarized around 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 7 in the 4700 block of Oakton Street.

• A vehicle reportedly was burglarized overnight on Nov. 7 in the 9200 block of Kildare Avenue.

Nov. 6

• Skokie police arrested a 54-year-old Niles man for allegedly burglarizing a residence and fleeing from police at 35 mph over the posted speed limit around 6:12 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• A vehicle reportedly was stolen sometime between 12-12:45 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the 330 block of Dempster Street in Skokie.

Nov. 5

• A residence reportedly was burglarized around 7:49 p.m. on Nov. 5 in the 9100 block of East Prairie Road.
