Police Reports: Burglarized ice-cream shop in Highland Park; stolen and burglarized cars in Wilmette

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Sept. 13

• An unlocked Jeep reportedly was stolen from the 1100 block of Seneca Road. Items reportedly taken from the Jeep were recovered in Chicago, and the Jeep reportedly had a different license plate when it was located in Chicago.

• Several items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1000 block of Linden Avenue.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from an unlocked car in the 2200 block of Kenilworth Avenue.

• Several items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 2300 block of Iroquois Road.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1000 block of Seneca Road.

• A bicycle reportedly was stolen from a closed garage in the 200 block of 6th Street.

Sept. 11

• Several items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 2300 block of Thornwood Avenue.

Sept. 8

• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen from a bike rack in the 600 block of Prairie Avenue.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1900 block of Schiller Avenue.

WINNETKA

Sept. 8

• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen between Sept. 5-8 from a bike rack at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave.

• Cash and a cashier’s check reportedly were stolen from a resident’s purse at Community House, 620 Lincoln Ave.

GLENCOE

No reported incidents between Sept. 3-10 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

Sept. 12

• A cash register containing cash reportedly was stolen from La Michoacana Bella, an ice cream shop at 2641 Waukegan Ave., after a rock reportedly was thrown through one of the business’s windows to gain entry. The estimated loss is nearly $3,000, according to police.

Sept. 10

• Several items reportedly were stolen from a locked City of Highland Park closet in the 600 block of Laurel Avenue.

NORTHFIELD

No reported incidents between Sept. 8-14 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

KENILWORTH
