Coach Mike Napoleon picked up his record-breaking 951st victory as an Illinois high school baseball coach — the highest total in state history — on Thursday, April 27, in Winnetka. (More to come at TheRecordNorthShore.org on this milestone)

Justin Wood earned the win while allowing three hits and striking out eight, and Brendan Stressler smacked a two-run homer for the Trevians (15-3).

Loyola 5, Marmion 0

The host Ramblers got the league win on Thursday, April 27, in Glenview.

New Trier 11, Glenbrook North 4

Brendan Stressler and Dylan Mayer knocked in two runs apiece for the Trevians on Wednesday, April 26.

Max Kaplan pitched six innings of two-run ball to pick up the win for New Trier.

Loyola 4, Mount Carmel 3 (8 inn.)

The Ramblers pulled off the extra-inning, league victory on Wednesday, April 26, in Glenview.

The visiting Ramblers dropped the league matchup on Tuesday, April 25, in Aurora.

The visiting Celtics took care of the Ramblers in a Catholic League affair on Monday, April 24, in Glenview.

Highland Park 6, Niles North 4

Sam Wolfe’s three-run double helped the Giants to a comeback win on Monday, April 24.

Dave Greenberg struck out 12 Vikings in six innings of work for Highland Park.

Evanston 7, New Trier 5 (10 inn.)

Dylan Mayer homered and Aidan Nolan and Ben Toft had two hits each as the Trevs’ dropped a heartbreaker Saturday, April 22.

Highland Park 6, Niles West 2

Dave Finfer had two hits and two RBI as the Giants picked up a win on Friday, April 21, in Skokie.

Regina 19, Lake Forest Academy 3 (5 inn.)

Izzie Christensen went 3 for 3 with three runs scored for the Panthers on Thursday, April 27.

Ella Grillo, Lily Grillo and Nora Grillo had three hits apiece, and Danielle O’Connor and Stella Ozenbaugh two each for Regina.

Niles West 7, New Trier 1

The host Trevians (4-9) dropped the conference matchup on Thursday, April 27, in Winnetka.

St. Laurence 5, Loyola 1

Lily Moran drove in Bella Giannos for the Ramblers, who fell short on Thursday, April 27, in Burbank.

Regina 24, Latin 14 (5 inn.)

Lily Grillo homered and scored five runs, while Nora Grillo had four hits and four RBI for the victorious Panthers on Wednesday, April 26.

The Trevians could not keep up with their league rivals on Tuesday, April 25, in Evanston.

The Trevians won the nonconference tilt on Monday, April 24, in Chicago.

Bella Mulvaney drove home two runs and Mercedes Delgado recorded two hits but the Ramblers fell short Monday, April 24, in Glenview.

Naperville North 2, New Trier 1

Sybil Evans scored off a feed from Nora Westol to give the visiting Trevians their lone goal Thursday, April 27, in the quarterfinals of the Naperville Invite.

Barrington 2, Loyola 1 (Penalty kicks)

The Ramblers lost in a shootout following a 1-1 draw in regulation of a quarterfinal match of the Naperville Invite.

Resurrection 5, Regina 0

The Panthers couldn’t keep up with host Resurrection on Wednesday, April 26.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Loyola 25-25, Providence 15-19

Jack Lopez had a team-high 10 kills and Liam Uruba added 6 for the Ramblers (17-4) in their league win on Thursday, April 27, in Wilmette.

Loyola 25-25, Marmion 15-16

Ben Trapp recorded 4 aces and Charlie Gervasio had 4 kills in the Ramblers’ victory on Tuesday, April 25.

Glenbrook North 25-23-25, Loyola 19-25-18

Jack Lopez (9 kills) and Ben Trapp (7 kills) led the Ramblers attack in the loss on Friday, April 21.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Loyola 11, New Trier 9

Eileen Dooley scored three times to lead the host Ramblers to the rivalry win on Thursday, April 27, in Wilmette.

Addie Shevitz scored three times for the Trevians.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
Lake Forest Academy Invitational

Haneefa Adam won the triple jump, long jump and 100-meter dash and was part of the winning 4-by-100 relay to lead Regina Dominican to first place on Tuesday, April 25.

Nora McCabe added wins in the 200 dash and 300 hurdles for the Panthers.

Sue Pariseau Invite

Josie Cahill and Clare Finnigan finished 1-2 in the 1,600-meter run and both joined Mackenzie Miller and Eva Scarborough to win the 4-by-800 relay for New Trier on Saturday, April 22, at Glenbard West.

Gaby Manzano added a win in the triple jump as the Trevs finished third out of 15 teams.
