Motorcyclist, 20, killed in crash on Touhy

A 20-year-old man died on Friday after he was involved in a vehicle collision in Skokie, according to local police.

Skokie police responded to a traffic crash around 9:58 p.m. on June 12 in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue, a press release from the Skokie Police Department says.

On scene, police reportedly determined a car driving west on Touhy turned left to enter a business, and an motorcycle traveling east on Touhy collided with the passenger side of the car.

The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital for injuries he sustained from the crash and died, the press release says.

The identity of the deceased man was not immediately made public.

The driver of the car reportedly remained on scene following the crash.

Skokie police said it was assisted by members of the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team.
