Nick Bailey struck out six Hawks while pitching a complete game for the Trevians (15-12) on Thursday, May 14, in Park Ridge.
Clayton Balch tallied two hits and two RBI and Chase Estrada two hits and two runs as New Trier took the series from CSL South champ Maine South.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
IHSA CLASS 1A WALTHER CHRISTIAN SECTIONAL
Madeleine Haran (800-meter run), Chloe Thiel (1,600), Milly Musbach (3,200) and Ariella Yeboah (high jump) won sectional championships for Regina Dominican, which also captured the team title, the Panthers first since 2009, on Thursday, May 14, at Chicago Hope Academy.
The Panthers 4-by-400 (Olivia Mauer, Grace Byrne, Celia Stevens, Haran) and 4-by-800 (Niamh Byrne, Thiel, Mauer, Haran) relays also placed first for Regina, while Haran (400), Thiel (800), Musbach (1,600), Lulu Tamayo (3,200), Foley (triple jump) and the 4-by-200 relay team (Mauer, Jillian DeFranza, Celia Stevens, Rosie Burke) also completed state-qualifying performances.
