Police Reports: Retail thefts, scooter and bike thefts, car burglaries

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

March 7

• Items reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1200 block of Glendenning Road.

March 6

• Personal items reportedly were stolen from an employee of a business in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue.

March 5

• A locked bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 700 block of Green Bay Road after the lock was cut.

March 4

• An individual was arrested in DuPage County for alleged identity theft, including unlawful use of a credit card, of a Wilmette resident

WINNETKA

No reported incidents between March 3-9 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

GLENCOE

No reported incidents between Feb. 25-March 4 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

March 7

• Nearly $700 in merchandise reportedly was stolen from Ulta, 135 Skokie Valley Road.

• An unlocked scooter reportedly was stolen from outside of Studio One, 1799 Green Bay Road.

March 3

• More than $450 in merchandise reportedly was stolen from Ulta, 135 Skokie Valley Road, in separate incidents.

NORTHFIELD

March 7

• Police arrested an individual for allegedly possessing a vehicle stolen out of Lake County. The officers reportedly were responding to a report of an abandoned car at Tower Road and Interstate 94.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported between Feb. 27-March 6.

SKOKIE

March 4

• An aggravated battery to a nurse reportedly took place around 9:54 p.m. at a nursing home in the 9000 block of Lavergne Avenue.

March 2

• A car reportedly was burglarized around 1:14 a.m. in the 8800 block of Kostner Terrace.

• A car reportedly was burglarized around 1:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of Four Winds Way.

March 1

• Property reportedly was stolen from a car on March 1 in the 8500 block of Niles Center Road.

Feb. 28

• A building reportedly was burglarized around 3:55 p.m. between Feb. 17-18 in the 8500 block of Niles Center Road.

• A car reportedly was burglarized in the 8400 block of Drake Avenue.

Feb. 25

• A car reportedly was stolen sometime between Dec. 10, 2025, and Feb. 25 from the 5200 block of Golf Road.
