Police Reports: Home burglaries; stolen car, bike and wallet

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

Sept. 27

• A garage door remote reportedly was taken from an unlocked car in the 3200 block of Sprucewood Lane.

Sept. 23

• A man was arrested for alleged battery that occurred on Sept. 4 in the 3500 block of Wilmette Avenue.

WINNETKA

Sept. 23

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from a business in the 800 block of Green Bay Road.

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of $750 by a person purporting to be with Apple and requesting two Apple gift cards.

GLENCOE

No reported incidents between Sept. 16-23 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

Sept. 26

• A locked bicycle reportedly was stolen from the Metra station, 1700 St. John’s Avenue.

Sept. 25

• Items reportedly were stolen overnight from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Highland Park.

NORTHFIELD

Sept. 27

• A home reportedly was burglarized in the 300 block of Linder Avenue.

KENILWORTH

No incidents reported from Sept. 18-25

SKOKIE

Sept. 23

• An individual reported to police hat a residence in the 8300 block of Lowell Avenue was burglarized sometime between December 2025 and August 2026.

• A building reportedly was burglarized in the 5100 block of Conrad Street.

• A car reportedly was burglarized between Sept. 22-23 in the 5000 block of Crain Street.

Sept. 18

• A car reportedly was stolen from the 7900 block of Karlove Avenue in Skokie.
