News Briefs: Introducing Trevian Coffee Bar; US Open representation; HPHS band car wash

The Trevian Coffee Bar, a partnership with Quest Food Management Services, is now open at New Trier High School’s Northfield campus. 

The cafe reportedly is “designed to give students a convenient, made-to-order dining option throughout the school day,” release from Quest says.

The new space offers crafted coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, fresh salads and bowls, sandwiches, wraps, flatbreads, and breakfast options. 

“The Trevian Coffee Bar is a great addition to the Northfield campus because it gives students a fresh, modern dining option with the variety and flexibility they’re looking for,” Quest District Manager Tim Almy said in the release. “With a versatile menu that has everything from lattes and acai bowls to flatbreads and sandwiches, there are options for students at any point in their day.”

Also available: Fresh menu items and grab-and-go options include yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, muffins, sandwiches, salads and snack boxes.

The Trevian Coffee Bar opening coincides with Quest’s recent partnership with BLK & Bold Specialty Coffee, which pledges 5% of gross profits to nonprofits supporting young people across the country, including Chicago-based Youth Guidance and Urban Growers Collective.

Wilmette represents at US Open

Wilmette Tennis Club participants found themselves on the court during the US Open on Monday, Sept. 7, inside Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

The selection of these groups by the United States Tennis Association to play on the court reportedly is decided based on the organization’s commitment to making tennis accessible and helping to grow the game at the junior level.

Car wash for a good cause

The Highland Park High School band’s annual car wash will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 19, in the H-entrance lot at the high school, 433 Vine Ave.

Donate $10 (cash or card) for a student-washed vehicle in support of guest musicians, tutoring scholarships, and trip support for families who need it for the school band, which features 135 students across five ensembles.
