FOUND: Skokie police locate missing teen

The Skokie Police Department has located a teenager that was reported missing last week.

Kyleigh Mace, a 16-year-old girl, was reported missing on Tuesday, June 23, a day after she was last seen at 7:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of Church Street on Monday, June 22, according to a press release from Skokie police that has since been updated to show that Mace was located.

Sgt. Brandi Shelton, a spokesperson for the Skokie Police Department, stated via email that Mace’s family notified police at 11:40 a.m. on July 2 that Mace had returned home. Skokie police then confirmed that Mace had returned, Shelton said.

Police described Kyleigh as 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, with red hair, brown eyes and freckles. She was reportedly last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with “White Fox” in white lettering, green camouflage shorts, mismatched socks and black sandals.

Police asked that any individuals with knowledge of Kyleigh’s whereabouts, or subjects matching her description, call 911. The Skokie Police Department can also be reached by calling 847-982-5900.
