Police Reports: Suitcase stolen while in street, loaner vehicle not returned

The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth, Glencoe and Skokie).

WILMETTE

Feb. 28

• An item reportedly was stolen from an unlocked car overnight in the 200 block of Wood Court.

WINNETKA

Feb. 28

• A resident reportedly paid more than $5,000 for construction services between Oct. 18-Dec. 22 that were never completed.

Feb. 25

• A suitcase and other property valued at more than $5,000 reportedly was stolen on Jan. 15 from the street at Green Bay and Tower Roads.

GLENCOE

No reported incidents between Feb. 18-25 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.

HIGHLAND PARK

Feb. 25

• A loaner vehicle reportedly was stolen from McGrath Kia of Highland Park, 250 Skokie Valley Road.

• Graffiti reportedly was located inside the closed PETCO, 1616 Deerfield Road.

NORTHFIELD

No incidents reported between Feb. 23-March 1

KENILWORTH

Feb. 25

• A locked bicycle reportedly was stolen between 5:45-5:55 p.m. from the Kenilworth Metra station bicycle rack

SKOKIE

Feb. 22

• A building reportedly was burglarized sometime between Feb. 20-22 in the 5200 block of Galitz Street.

Feb. 21

• Two residences reportedly were burglarized in the 9200 block of Gross Point Road; one reportedly was burglarized on Feb. 18 and the other on Feb. 21.

Feb. 20

• A car reportedly was stolen sometime between Feb. 19-20 from the 8000 block of Kenton Avenue.

Feb. 19

• Property was reportedly stolen from a car in the 9900 block of Woods Drive.

• A car reportedly was stolen from the 8100 block of Knox Avenue.

• A building reportedly was burglarized sometime between Feb. 9-19 in the 4600 block of Main Street.
