Loyola celebrates more than 30 Ramblers moving on to the next level
It was Loyola Academy’s turn to celebrate its college-bound student-athletes.
Thirty-three Ramblers celebrated their college commitments on Wednesday, Dec. 3, during a ceremony at the Wilmette high school.
The day marked the early signing period for football recruits, and Loyola Academy celebrated seven of them, including University of Michigan commit Tommy Fraumann (offensive lineman) and Air Force commit Henry Newton (linebacker). Other sports represented in Wednesday’s ceremony include lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and swimming.
See below for a list (organized by sport) of Loyola’s Dec. 3 honorees.
New Trier celebrated 44 of its student-athletes during the fall signing day in November, but on Wednesday, also recognized wide receiver Keefer Baxter, who is committed to playing football for the University of St. Thomas.
Highland Park High School also participated in signing day, recognizing Maxwell Dubin, a football placekicker who will compete for Lehigh University in college.
