Halloween decorating competition for Northfield

The Village of Northfield and Northfield Park District recently announced a partnership to debut a Halloween decorating contest.

“Whether you prefer classic pumpkins, ghostly graveyards, or over-the-top haunted houses, we want to see your best Halloween magic!” says a joint press release.

Come Halloween season, residents can vote on the Village’s Facebook page for their favorite display among the participating homes.

Participating homes must enter by Oct. 20 by visiting the village’s website and filling out an entry form. Voting begins Oct. 27 and closes Nov. 3, and the top three winners will receive gift cards to local businesses of their choice.
