Police Reports: Car thefts in Wilmette and HP, indecent exposure arrests
The following reports were pulled from the latest incident summaries provided by law enforcement departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).
WILMETTE
Aug. 23
• An unlocked car reportedly was stolen overnight in the 100 block of Lawndale Avenue before being recovered in Chicago on Aug. 24.
Aug. 22
• A delivered package reportedly was taken from the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue.
• Multiple items reportedly were stolen from a store in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road.
Aug. 21
• Multiple items reportedly were stolen from a store in the 400 block of Green Bay Road.
Aug. 19
• Jewelry, cash and sports memorabilia reportedly were stolen from a home in the 3100 block of Wilmette Avenue.
Aug. 18
• An individual was arrested and charged with indecent exposure for allegedly fondling himself inside and outside of a building in the 300 block of Linden Avenue.
WINNETKA
Aug. 23
• More than $5,000 in airline miles reportedly were stolen using a resident’s personal information.
GLENCOE
Aug. 13
• Five credit cards reportedly were stolen from an unlocked car at the Glencoe Golf Club, 621 Westley Road.
HIGHLAND PARK
Aug. 24
• Several items reportedly were stolen from the 900 block of Sheridan Road.
Aug. 22
• Food reportedly was stolen from Sunset Foods, 1812 Green Bay Road.
Aug. 19
• Graffiti reportedly was found on the U.S. Post Office building, 833 Central Ave.
July 27
• A car that had its keys inside reportedly was stolen from the 600 block of Pleasant Avenue.
• A backpack reportedly was stolen from a car in the 600 block of Burton Avenue. A window of the car reportedly was shattered.
NORTHFIELD
No incidents reported between Aug. 18-24 that meet The Record’s standards for publication.
KENILWORTH
No incidents reported over that past week that meet The Record’s standards for publication.
