Metra train strikes ‘stuck’ car in Glencoe

No one was reported injured when a Metra train crashed into a car Friday night in Glencoe.

According to Glencoe Public Safety, a sedan became stuck on the tracks just after 10 p.m. near Maple Hill and Green Bay roads.

The occupants had exited the vehicle when it was struck by a northbound train at 10:19 p.m.

It is not immediately clear how the car became stuck on the tracks. Glencoe Public Safety reportedly turned over the investigation to Metra.
