The Trevians opened the postseason with a victory in their host regional on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Winnetka.

Maine South 2, Loyola 1

The Hawks ended the Ramblers season in the opening round of regional play on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Park Ridge.

North Shore Country Day 6, Mather 0

Danny Becker racked up three goals to lead the Raiders to a regional championship in the IHSA Class 1A postseason on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Henry Gallun and Smith Flickinger also tallied for NSCD.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
New Trier 25-25, Deerfield 13-8

The Trevians (25-6) swept the Warriors on Wednesday, Oct. 18, to with their 10th straight match to conclude the regular season.

Regina 25-25, Cristo Rey 17-19

Peyton Bersch racked up 10 kills in the Panthers’ victory on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Loyola 25-25, Warren 18-18

Ellen Gundlach collected 6 kills and 4 blocks in the Ramblers’ nonconference victory on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Addison Leadbetter added 3 aces and Madeline Thomas 11 digs for Loyola.

Regina 25-25, Willows Academy 12-14

Delaney Kevin (7 kills) and Peyton Bertsch (6 kills) led the way for the Panthers in their league win on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Bridie Murphy added 7 aces for Regina.

New Trier 25-25, Evanston 15-20

The Trevians bested their visiting rivals on Monday, Oct. 16, in Winnetka.

GIRLS TENNIS
Niles North Sectional

Madison Liu won the singles title and Keri Rotheberg and Ariane Lesterhuis the doubles crown for first-place New Trier in the sectional tournament held Oct. 13-14.

Coco Zabel and Julia Ludwig took second in doubles and Elizabeth Dabiza fourth in singles for the Trevians.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Independent School League Championships

Charlotte Kroll finished 16th to lead Regina Dominican to seven place on Thursday, Oct. 12, at Lake Forest Academy.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Central Suburban League Championships

Ben Crane won the three-mile race with a time of 15 minutes 45.9 seconds for first-place New Trier on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Felix Hekster finished sixth and Joey Papanicholas 14th for the Trevians.

Brian Hatoum and Barak Goldstein placed second and fifth, respectively, for Highland Park, which placed second as a team.

GIRLS SWIMMING
New Trier 140, Glenbrook South 46

Haley Knupp won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke to lead the Trevians to the league win on Friday, Oct. 13.

Marin Shimkus added a win in 50 free and Pania Piriyakulvej in the 100 breaststroke for New Trier.
