WILMETTE

July 16

• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen between 2-4:15 p.m. from the Elmwood Dune Preserve.

July 14

• A wallet reportedly was stolen between noon and 2 p.m. while its owner was dining and shopping in downtown Wilmette. Credit cards from the wallet reportedly were used to make $8,700 in fraudulent purchases.

July 13

• A mountain bike reportedly was stolen overnight from an unlocked, detached garage in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

• A driveway gate reportedly was damaged and an unlocked garage entered overnight in the 400 block of Park Avenue.

July 12

• Items reportedly were stolen overnight from a glovebox of a car parked in the 200 block of Catalpa Place.

WINNETKA

July 12

• A mailed check reportedly was stolen, altered and cashed for $3,900.

July 11

• A purse with credit cards and cash reportedly was stolen from an unlocked home in the 1100 block of Elm Street.

• Nearly $2,000 in fraudulent purchases reportedly were made to a resident’s credit card.

• More than $300 in fraudulent purchases reportedly were made to a resident’s credit card.

July 10

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of $1,000 from an individual purporting to be an employer.

GLENCOE

July 17

• A resident reportedly was scammed out of $450 after contracting a job online and never hearing back from the contractor.

HIGHLAND PARK

July 15

• A metal object reportedly was broken off in the ignition of a car in the 1600 block of Green Bay Road.

• Multiple packages reportedly were stolen from a residential complex in the 700 block of St. John’s Avenue.

• A car with the keys inside reportedly was stolen from a parking lot in the 800 block of Old Elm Road. The car was later recovered by the Hobart, Indiana, Police Department.

July 12

• Multiple pieces of jewelry reportedly were stolen between July 4-6 in a home in the 700 block of Marion Avenue.

July 10

• Blocks and rope reportedly were stolen from a trailer on Park Avenue.

• A leaf blower reportedly was stolen between 1-1:30 p.m. on July 7 at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Simonds Way.

• The rear window of a Jeep reportedly was shattered between 2:30-3:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Park Avenue.

NORTHFIELD

July 11

• Several bottles of alcohol reportedly were stolen from Mariano’s, 1822 Willow Road.

July 7

• Graffiti reportedly was found underneath the Bosworth pedestrian bridge.

KENILWORTH

July 14

• Patio chairs reportedly were damaged in back-to-back nights at a home in the 400 block of Sheridan Road.
