Come be The Record’s paid summer intern. Apply by April 10

The Record North Shore is seeking a college undergraduate with a passion for mission-based, community-first journalism for a paid summer internship.

In the 10- to 12-week program, the intern will work with The Record‘s editor in chief to produce meaningful community news for the northern suburbs of Chicago.

The position is a hybrid of remote and in-person work, and responsibilities include everything from interviewing and reporting to digital publishing and photography.

DETAILS:
• Hours (full-time): 30-40 per week (hours of the day will vary)
• Duration: 10-12 weeks (End May-early August)
• Pay: $15/hour

The Record is a nonprofit, nonpartisan hyperlocal newsroom that publishes responsible journalism through its daily website, and weekly podcasts and newsletters. Our coverage area consist of the five primary communities of New Trier Township and Highland Park. We focus on impactful civic reporting, as well as community profiles and features and local sports coverage.

This paid internship is made possible by local funders, including the Kenilworth Community Fund.
