New Trier 64, Glenbrook South 51

Jake Fiegen racked up 30 points in the Trevians’ big CSL South victory Friday, Jan. 27, in Northfield.

With Evanston’s victory over Glenbrook North the same night, New Trier (20-4, 6-1) retook the lead in the conference-title race.

Loyola 39, DePaul 36

Andrew Hollerich scored 13 points and Brendan Loftus nabbed 10 rebounds for the Ramblers (20-6) on Friday, Jan. 27.

Vernon Hills 58, Highland Park 51 (OT)

Gabe Schamberg recorded 11 points for the host Giants who fell in a conference heartbreaker Friday, Jan. 27.

Loyola 57, Providence 38

Andrew Hollerich dropped 17 points while Miles Boland tallied 10 in the Rambers’ Catholic League victory on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Alex Engro added 8 rebounds and 4 steals for Loyola.

The Giants (10-11, 3-6) fell on the road to the Cougars (16-9, 7-2) on Friday, Jan. 27.

Regina 41, Willows 31

Payton Olszewski and Natalia Cerrado scored 11 points apiece for the Panthers on Friday, Jan. 27.

Kendall Williams added 10 points and 4 blocks for Regina (14-7).

Ridgewood 35, Regina 33

Kendall Williams finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks for the visiting Panthers on Thursday, Jan. 26.

Highland Park 42, Niles West 40

MaKenzie Reitmayer scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the Giants’ league crossover win Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Maddie Chabot added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Highland Park.

Olivia Fraterrigo and Payton Olszewski had 11 points apiece in the Panthers’ win Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Sela Klein had 9 points and 4 steals in her return to the lineup for the visiting Trevians on Monday, Jan. 23, in Oak Park.

Rachael Zacks (12 points) and KJ Saccaro (10) led New Trier in scoring.

The Trevians earned a dual-meet win on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Central Suburban League Championships

Mark Martinez won first place in the 138-pound division for Highland Park, which placed sixth as a team on Saturday, Jan. 21, in Evanston.

Wilson Wright (145 pounds) and Tyler Jackson (182) took second place in their weight classes for New Trier, which also got a third-place finishes from Eli Polacek (152) and Tagg Miller (160) and a fourth-place from Dylan Jeppe (220).

Chicago Catholic League Championships

Massey Odiotti, James Hemmila, Quinn Herbert, Kai Calcutt and Joey Herbert all placed second in their respective divisions for Loyola Academy on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Marmion Academy.

Gavin Pardilla added a third-place finish and Pat Zimmer and Danny Herbert fourth for the Ramblers, who placed fourth as a team.

BOYS SWIM AND DIVE
Stevenson 104, New Trier 82

Aiden Musick, Brady Baxter, Augustus Noreuil and Max Lestina joined forces to win the 200-yard freestyle relay for the Trevians on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Lestina added a win in the 50 and 100 frees and Musick in the 100 butterfly for New Trier.

Buffalo Grove Invite

Noam Kulbak won the 1-meter dive by racking up 544.3 points as Highland Park placed third in the 17-team meet on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Danny Castle added a win in the 100-yard freestyle, while Kevin Obochi placed second in the 50 free and 100 butterfly for Highland Park.

GYMNASTICS
Central Suburban League South Championships

Clara Crossgrove finished second in the all-around (36.525) after second-place finishes in the floor (9.45) and on the uneven bars (9.425), leading New Trier (141.425) to a first-place finish on Friday, Jan. 27.

Anabel Sturgis pitched in a fourth-place finish on vault and Ryan Segall third on bars and fifth on beam for the Trevians, who with the win earned a share of the overall conference title.

Central Suburban League North Championships

Amelie Gerber placed fifth in the floor exercise (8.475) Maddyn Cohen sixth in the vault (8.725) to help Highland Park to fourth place on Friday, Jan. 27.
