Loyola 50, St. Laurence 35

Miles Boland (18 points) and Jimmy Tarjan (12) each scored in double-digits as the Ramblers (15-5, 4-1) picked up a Catholic League win on Tuesday, Jan. 10, in Wilmette.

Maine East 54, Highland Park 47

The host Giants dropped the Central Suburban North matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

New Trier 80, Hinsdale South 48

The Trevians (16-3) traveled to the west suburbs for the nonconference win on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Loyola 47, Oak Park-River Forest 35

Miles Boland had 22 points and 6 assists to lead the Ramblers to the nonconference victory on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Alex Engro finished with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals for Loyola.

New Trier 77, Niles West 43

The host Trevs earned a conference win on Friday, Jan. 6, in Northfield.

Loyola 44, Leo 27

Andrew Hollerich scores 15 points, while Alex Engro adds 12 for the victorious Ramblers on Friday, Jan. 6, in Wilmette.

Brendan Loftus grabbed 6 rebounds and PJ Hayes recorded 4 steals for Loyola.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
New Trier 53, Niles West 34

Rachael Zacks, Joelle Grief and Reese Leahy scored 10 points apiece in the Trevians’ league win on Wednesday, Jan. 11, in Skokie.

Charlotte Dellin added 8 points for New Trier.

Highland Park 53, Maine East 37

Maddie Chabot scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Giants in their league win on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Reese Crosby and McKenzie Reitmayer added 13 points apiece for Highland Park (9-6).

Loyola 56, Northside Prep 25

The Ramblers (15-2, 2-1) picked up a nonconference win on Monday, Jan. 9

Loyola 56, Sandburg 32

The Ramblers traveled to the south suburbs for the victory on Saturday, Jan. 7.

BOYS SWIM AND DIVE
Evanston Invitational

Aiden Musick won the 100-yard freestyle and claimed second in the 200 free as New Trier placed third in the 18-team meet on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Max Lestina added a third-place finish in the 50 free, while the Trevians placed third in all three relays (200 medley, 200 and 400 free).

Max Rice, of Loyola Academy, nabbed third place in the 100 breaststroke, while Carter Tiv took sixth place in the 500 free, and Velizar Filipov and Gus Koh went 6-7 in the 100 backstroke for the Ramblers, who finished seventh as a team.

St. Charles East 86, Highland Park 84

Kevin Obochi picked up wins in the 100-yard butterfly and 50 freestyle and helped the Giants to victories in the 200 medley and 200 free relays on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Danny Castle added a win in the 100 backstroke for Highland Park.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS
New Trier 135, Niles West 109.3

Clara Grossgrove won three of four events (floor, vault, uneven bars) and the all-around (34.75) as the Trevians won the conference meet on Thursday, Jan. 12.

Morgan Deger won the beam (9.05) for New Trier, while teammate Ryann Segall added a second-place all-around finish (33.35)

Highland Park 115.7, Maine West 107.45

Jillian Mangione won the floor exercise (8.0) and vault (7.8) for the Giants on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Maddyn Cohen paced first in the beam (7.7) and placed second in the all-around (29.2) for Highland Park.

GIRLS BOWLING
New Trier def. Niles North

Vicky Hughes recorded a personal-best 219 to lead the Trevians to a victory on Thursday, Jan. 12.

BOYS BOWLING
Central Suburban League Championship

Charlie Heydon (1,311 pins, six games) placed second overall and Matthew Greenstein (1,260) fifth to lead New Trier to a conference title on Saturday, Jan. 7, at River Rand Bowl in Des Plaines.
