News Briefs: New clubhouse for Glencoe Golf Club; Upgraded space for At Properties; Opening day for rebranded golf course

The Glencoe Golf Club received quite the gift for its 100th birthday.

An anonymous donor gave $125,000 in matching funds to support a new clubhouse through the newly created Friends of the Glencoe Golf Club.

According to an email from the golf club, “The proposed clubhouse will feature a dining room for up to 140 people, an indoor/outdoor bar and a private conference/party room. The interior design will feature floor to ceiling glass throughout, for magnificent views of the golf course and the sunset.”

The project will also include other amenities, such as golf simulators, a family-friendly event lawn, a community garden and a croquet court, among other items.

The club also held a sold-out golf outing and dinner on Friday, Aug. 13.
