Police arrest man for June 22 solicitation of two minors in Wilmette

Wilmette police arrested a 21-year-old man on July 7 who allegedly exposed himself to and solicited two juvenile girls on June 22 in Wilmette.

Oskar Bosak, of Mount Prospect, was charged with two felony counts of indecent solicitation of a child and a misdemeanor count of public indecency for reportedly exposing himself during the incident.

According to a release from the Wilmette Police Department, detectives connected the June 22 incident to one on May 25, when a Wilmette woman reported a man driving a car exposed himself to her while she was walking her dog in the 1300 block of Greenwood Avenue.

The victims involved in the June 22 incident told police a male motorist stopped his car near the victims, exposed himself and solicited them to perform a sexual act.

The release says Wilmette detectives “conducted numerous undercover surveillance operations” and soon identified a suspect.

“(Detectives) were in unmarked units in areas that they believed the vehicle may be traveling,” Deputy Chief Patrick Collins said. “They located a vehicle that matched the description they had and after more investigation were able to complete the arrest.”

Bosak was given a $250,000 bond, in which he must pay 10 percent for bail, and will be before a judge at 9 a.m. July 27 at the 2nd Municipal Court at 5600 Old Orchard Road in Skokie.
