Police Reports: Wilmette Walgreen’s hit twice in one day by alleged thieves, more

These reports were pulled from police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe) during the week of Sunday-Saturday, June 20-26.

Wilmette

There were three incidents of Illinois Department of Employment Services fraud filed between June 18-25 in Wilmette.

June 23

• Walgreen’s staff reported two incidents of retail theft after reviewing surveillance footage. The thefts occurred the same day at 12:54 p.m. (one suspect) and 7:20 p.m. (three suspects). The Record’s questions to the Wilmette Police Department regarding what was stolen have been unanswered as of press time.

• A vehicle was reportedly damaged in the 1200 block of Chestnut Avenue.

Winnetka

There were four reports of IDES fraud filed June 15-19 in Winnetka.

June 16

• An unlocked bike, worth $400, was reported stolen between June 9-16 in the 100 block of Wilson Street.

Glencoe

There were two reports of IDES fraud filed June 16 and 18 in Glencoe.
