Summer Internship: Apply within by March 15

The Record North Shore is seeking a college undergraduate with a passion for mission-based, community-first journalism for a paid summer internship. In the 10- to 12-week program, the intern will work closely with The Record’s editorial team to produce meaningful community news for the northern suburbs of Chicago.

The position is a hybrid of remote and in-person work, depending on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, that includes everything from interviews and photography to research and social media, all supported by The Record’s award-winning editors.

DETAILS:
• Hours (part-time): 20-30 hours per week (hours will vary)
• Duration: 10-12 weeks (End May-early August)
• Pay: $15/hour

The Record is a nonprofit, nonpartisan hyperlocal newsroom that publishes responsible journalism through its daily website, and weekly podcasts and newsletters.
