Salute to Service: Wilmette American Legion hosts Veteran’s Day ceremony

1:15 p.m. November 11, 2020

While American Legion Huerter Post 46 officially disbanded earlier this year, it led one more ceremony in Wilmette on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Park.

Post Commander Andy Haszlakiewicz said it was the final event for the post, which joined forces with the Morton Grove post. The ceremony featured comments from Village President Bob Bielinski, post chaplain Chuck Leath and Haszlakiewicz.
